What are possible reasons for loud noise of an automotive electronic fan?

04-17,2024

Loud noise of an automotive electronic fan is mainly caused by the following factors:

First, an automatic electronic fan generates frictional noise during operation. Due to the friction of internal components of the fan in the course of high-speed rotation, there is friction noise. If the fan ages or has been used for a prolonged period of time, the wear between components will become heavier, thereby increasing the level of noise.

Second, the design and manufacturing quality of fans also affects noise level. Some low-quality fans may have design and manufacturing defects such as unbalanced blades and unsuitable bearings, which can result in instability and excessive noise during fan operation.

Third, the vibration during fan operation is also a source of noise. When the fan blades rotate at high speed, they vibrate, and such vibration is transmitted via the fan structure, leading to noise. In the case of unstable fan installation or loose fixing parts, the vibration will be more obvious and the noise will be louder than usual.

Finally, environmental factors may also contribute to fan noise. For instance, high temperature or high humidity can decrease the operation efficiency of a fan. Consequently, the fan may need greater operation power and generate louder noise.
