What are the precautions for use of gearbox?
11-08,2023
Gearbox is an important component in an automotive transmission system. It can meet different driving needs adaptively by adjusting speed and torque without changing engine output power.
Precautions for use of gearbox:
Do not overuse the brake: During drives, if an emergent situation occurs and requires immediate braking, the engine brake can be used at the same time to reduce the speed, thus avoid overheat or malfunction of the brake system due to excessive use of the brake.
Avoid shifting to neutral gear: During drives, do not shift the gear to neutral position arbitrarily, because this may lead to too high engine speed and consequently damage the engine and the gearbox.

Avoid overloading: Overloading may subject the transmission system to excessive pressure, accelerating wear of the gearbox and the engine.
Avoid prolonged high-speed driving: High-speed driving for a prolonged period of time can cause the gearbox and the engine to remain in a high-temperature state, which will shorten their service life.
There are two types of gearbox repair kits: major repair kit and minor repair kit. A minor repair kit usually contains sealed components, pads, sealing rings, etc. A major repair kit additionally includes clutch plates, steel plates, and other components.
