What are the symptoms of a failed braking pump?

Braking pump is also known as the brake booster pump. During a braking process, It drives movement of the diaphragm by means of vacuum operation, causing the push rod on the diaphragm to act via a linkage device, thus increasing the force exerted by the driver on the brake pedal.

Symptoms of a failed braking pump:
1. Poor braking performance or no response to braking operation;
2. There is visible oil leakage at the external connection of the vacuum pump;
3. The brake pedal returns slowly or fails to return;
4. Abnormal sound can be heard after the brake pedal is pressed;
5. The car deviates from its direction or vibrates during braking;
6. The brake pedal feels soft when pressed.
