What are possible causes of oil leakage of car shock absorber?

There are several possible reasons for oil leakage of car shock absorber:


1. Aging or wear of sealing components: Sealing components are used in the shock absorber to prevent oil leakage. Long use or external environmental factors may cause aging or wear of the sealing components and consequently lead to oil leakage.

2. Shock absorber damage: Damage of the outer enclosure or internal parts of the shock absorber, such as crack and breakage, may lead to oil leakage.

3. Overloaded operation of the shock absorber: If the shock absorber is subjected to a load beyond its designed bearing capacity for long, oil leakage may occur.

4. Road conditions and driving habit: Poor road conditions, frequent bumps, or violent driving habits, such as sudden braking and sharp turning, may result in excessive pressure on the shock absorber, thus leading to oil leakage.

5. Manufacturing or installation problem: The shock absorber may have a quality problem during manufacturing or installation that leads to oil leakage, such as improper welding and loose bolt.

If oil leakage of a shock absorber is found, timely inspection and repair should be performed to ensure normal function of the vehicle suspension system.
