What are symptoms of a failed Oil Cooler Complete?

An oil cooler complete failure may lead to the following symptoms:

1. Excessive oil temperature: The cooler cannot effectively cool the oil, and consequently the engine is overheated.

2. Oil leakage: A crack or poor sealing in the cooler or at a connection of the cooler can cause oil leakage.

3. Coolant contamination: If the cooler fails, the coolant may seep into the engine oil, resulting in oil discoloration or emulsification.

4. Louder engine noise: Insufficient oil flow may lead to poor lubrication of engine components and cause abnormal noise.

5. Abnormal oil pressure: Oil cooler failure may cause high or low oil pressure, and consequently interfere with normal operation of the engine.

Oil leakage of an oil cooler may be due to the following reasons:

1. Aging and wear: Over time, the cooler material may age, leading to failure of seal or wear of metal component, and resulting in leakage.

2. Corrosion: Corrosion may occur inside the cooler due to chemical substances in the coolant or engine oil, thus leading to structural damage.

6. Oil quality issues: Low-quality engine oil or failed replacement of engine oil in a timely manner may lead to carbon or dirt accumulation in the cooler, thus affecting its normal operation.

7. External damage: Collision or other external factors may cause damage to the cooler shell, affecting its sealing and heat dissipation performance.
