Replacement of an automotive radiator frame is typically required when it is damaged due a scratch of the front section of the car or other accidents.

Replacement of the front face of a car is a common practice after occurrence of a minor scratch. Even if no accident has taken place, the two headlights may need to be replaced upon expiry of their service life. By contrast, if the radiator frame is damaged during a collision, the accident may be a serious one. But it should be noted that determination of whether a car has experienced a major accident should not be merely based on the fact that its radiator frame or any other part has been replaced.

On special models such as some VW or Audi cars, cleaning the radiator necessitates detachment of the radiator frame, which has nothing to do with accident.
