Working principle of high-pressure fuel pump

High-pressure fuel pump is a key part in an automotive fuel system. Its main function is to extract fuel from the tank and force it into the fuel system via the fuel outlet. In an operation cycle, the high-pressure fuel pump goes through three stages: suction stroke, return stroke, and pumping stroke.
Working principle of a high-pressure fuel pump:
Through rotational action of a rotor, the high-pressure fuel pump draws fuel in from the fuel inlet and forces it into the fuel system via the fuel outlet. During this process, the roller is pushed outward under centrifugal force, and forms a rotating oil seal to ensure effective transfer of fuel. When the oil pump is turned off, the check valve at the fuel outlet will close to keep the fuel from flowing back into the tank, thus maintaining residual pressure in the fuel pipes. In addition, the maximum output pressure of the high-pressure fuel pump is controlled by a pressure limiter. If the pressure exceeds the preset limit, the pressure limiter will activate the bypass function to allow some fuel to flow back to the pump inlet and ensure system safety.
Advantages of vika high-pressure fuel pump:
1. The proportional valve of vika high-pressure fuel pump is imported from Switzerland. It is able to move 150 times per second;
2. The plunger of vika high-pressure fuel pump is imported from Germany. It is subject to precision machining that leads to a cylindricity level of 0.002mm;
3. The surface of the plunger of vika high-pressure fuel pump is coated with diamond, which is processed in Switzerland and helps enhance the strength of the plunger;
4. The shell of vika high-pressure fuel pump is made of BQ245 forged steel, which leads to higher strength.
