What are the causes of fog light bowl melting?
08-07,2024
Possible reasons for melting of a fog light bowl:
1. Overheating of the light bowl: High power or improper use of the light bulb can cause the temperature of the light bowl to exceed its heat resistance limit.
2. Poor heat dissipation: Poor heat dissipation design of the light bowl or presence of foreign objects around can prevent smooth heat dissipation and result in prolonged high temperature in the light bowl.
3. Light bulb quality issues: Inferior quality of the light bulb may lead to excessive heat, causing damage to the light bowl.
4. Voltage instability: Too high voltage may result in abnormal heating of the light bulb, and consequently impair the tolerance of the light bowl.
5. Light bowl material issues: If the material of the light bowl has low temperature resistance, it may easily melt in high temperature environments.
6. Improper installation: Inappropriate installation position of the light bowl can render it more vulnerable to external heat sources.

Core problems solved by DPA fog light: yellowing and melting of light bowl.
Advantages of DPA fog light:
1. Lamp shade: The lamp shade is made of PC material with high light transmittance subject to UV hardening treatment. It provides excellent resistance to oxidation, preventing any yellowing in the first 2 years of use.
2. Lamp shell: The lamp shell is made of high-grade ABS/PP material that features more consistent size and higher strength.
3. Light bowl: The DPA fog light bowl is made of PEI material characterized by good flame resistance, low smoke, and excellent chemical resistance and electric insulation. It is able to work for long in the temperature range between -160°C and 180°C.
