What are possible reasons for oil leakage of a valve chamber cover pad?
11-29,2023
1. Valve chamber cover pad is a rubber component that may age, harden, or even break after use for a prolonged period of time. A hardened or broken valve chamber cover pad can result in oil leakage.
2. Air in the valve chamber cover and crankcase on a car may flow via a PCV crankcase ventilation system, allowing incompletely burned fuel to re-enter the cylinder for combustion through that system. If the valve of the crankcase ventilation system is blocked, the pressure in the valve chamber cover will increase, exerting heavier force on the valve chamber cover pad and causing it to leak over time.
Consequences of a valve chamber cover pad with oil leakage:
1. A foul odor inside the engine: Such odor occurs when oil drips from the valve chamber cover pad onto the exhaust pipe at high temperature.
2. Smoke in the engine: In the case of serious oil leakage of the valve chamber cover pad, when a great quantity of oil drips onto the exhaust pipe, ignition may occur, generating much white smoke.
3. Lower cylinder pressure and weaker power: A leaky valve chamber cover pad will reduce airtightness of the cylinder and decrease it pressure, thus leading to heat loss and weaker power.
4. Oil sludge on the camshaft: Oil may leak both out of and into the valve chamber cover pad. Oil entering the valve chamber cover can result in oil sludge on the camshaft and valve push rod, and form carbon deposit over time.
5. Rapid oil consumption: Leakage of the valve chamber cover pad will cause oil to be consumed significantly faster than usual.

Advantages of vika valve chamber cover:
In order to address common faults such as air leakage of valve chamber cover seal and diaphragm aging, the products and R&D engineers of vika have been engaged in detailed development and design, exploring solutions to practical problems. Changes have been made in different aspects including welding process, seal size, and material design, eventually achieving remarkable optimization of the material and process of the swing shaft control valve, and ensuring high strength and high sealing performance of vika valve chamber cover.
1. The vika valve chamber cover is made of imported BASF PA66-GF30 material by means of injection molding, which leads to excellent high temperature performance, chemical stability and thermal aging stability. The product is more resistant to heavy loads and more durable;
2. The oil seals and sealing strips are made of materials produced by internationally renowned brand DuPont ACM, which are resistant to high temperature, oil, ozone, and ultraviolet radiation, thereby effectively extending product service life;
3. The oil/gas separator diagram for the valve chamber cover is made of industry-leading material "fluorosilicone", which is rich in fluorine groups and hydrogen-resistant solvent. It features better resistance to oil, acid, and alkaline and lower surface energy;
4. The product is welded with an EMERSON welding machine imported from USA, with a minimum dimensional tolerance of 0.02 mm. The good dimensional stability ensures high product accuracy and elegant appearance.
