1. The shock absorber is not installed properly. If the shock absorber bolt is not tightened, the shock absorber may experience displacement during operation and result in abnormal noise;
2. The shock absorber may be defective. The abnormal noise of the new shock absorber is probably due to insufficient damping oil. You can try to check the damping rubber ring;
3. The travel of the new shock absorber is too short, and as a result it is easy to touch the bottom and make abnormal noise during operation.
If a shock absorber on a car is damaged, it will make a clattering noise on bumpy roads due to poor coordination between different parts of the shock absorber.
The top part of a front shock absorber is made of rubber, which is mainly intended to assist the shock absorber and shock spring in shock absorption and buffering. If the damping top rubber is damaged due to excessive wear, abnormal sound will be generated during operation. Besides, even if the shock absorber does not work, such sound can still be heard when the steering wheel is turned with the car in standstill.
As an important part of the vehicle vibration cushioning system, the shock absorber absorbs vibration and impact on uneven roads, so as to create great comfort for the driver and passengers. Once the shock absorber is damaged, it will generate clattering noise during use, and interfere with driver operation.
