1. Drive the car on a rough road for 10 km before pulling it up. Touch the enclosure of the vibration damper with a hand. If it is not hot enough, the vibration damper is not functional due to lack of resistance in it. Add an appropriate amount of lubricant and start another test. If the enclosure becomes hotter, the oil in the vibration damper is insufficient, otherwise the vibration damper has failed.

2. Press down the bumper hard and then release it. If the car bumps twice or three times, the vibration damper is working normally.

3. When the car is braked suddenly at a low speed, if the car body vibrates violently, there is a problem with the vibration damper.

4. Remove the vibration damper and put it upright. Clamp the lower connection ring with a vise. Pull up and press down the vibration damper rod for a couple of times. There should be stable resistance, and the resistance to upward movement (recovery) under pulling force should be lower than that to downward movement under pressure. If the resistance is unstable or absent, the oil in the vibration damper may be insufficient, or a valve component may have been damaged. Repair or component replacement is required.
